Bourne Grammar School FAQs
The pass mark of a standardised score of 220 is used by nearly all of the schools in the Lincolnshire Consortium of Grammar Schools. It is designed to select the top 25% of students. The standardisation is done by taking the total scores from the two papers and adjusting them for factors such as age so that they are more fair. A higher mark in the entry exam does not guarantee a place if they are oversubscribed.
Bourne Grammar School’s exam uses the GL 11 Plus exams. In particular they use the multiple choice versions of the Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning papers.
