Caistor Grammar School is a mixed selective school in Lincolnshire. Ofsted confirmed that the school achieves this in their 2022 report, also stating that “This is an environment in which pupils can solely focus on learning”, as well as complementing the school on its ability to prevent and deal with bullying.

Caistor Grammar Exam Format
Caistor Grammar School uses its own testing method, it does not have any ties to well known exam boards such as GL, although it is likely that the exams are in a similar format and that the questions are similar. Caistor uses the same pass mark that is required of all grammar schools in Lincolnshire. The catchment area for Caistor is 6.5 miles.
The Caistor Grammar School Entry Exam: Overview
Both tests will take place at Caistor Grammar School. Both tests will take 1 hour, 15 minutes of which will be a practice test and the remaining 45 minutes will be the actual test. Both tests are on verbal reasoning, one is a standard Verbal Reasoning test, the other is a multiple choice Verbal Reasoning test.

Entry Exam: Pass Criteria
The pass criteria for Caistor Grammar School is a total mark of 220 across both papers. This is designed to select the top 25% of the ability range of students. After catchment areas and additional eligibility have been given places, the remaining places will be given to those with the greatest mean rank position (how well they did compared to other applicants in each test).
