Introduction
Rugby High School is a selective academy for girls in Rugby, Warwickshire. The entry exam will have an Automatic Qualifying Score however this will be determined after the exam has been taken. Within every category places will be awarded to applicants who achieve the higher mark in the entry exam.

Catchment Area
There are 2 priority areas, with Priority Area 1 having a greater priority. Priority Area 1 is defined as East Warwickshire, and is made up of the town of Rugby and the surrounding villages. Priority Area 2 is defined as a circle with a radius of 10 miles centred on Rugby Water Tower and is called the Eastern Priority Circle. Priority Area 1 is contained within Priority Area 2. It is advised that you should follow the link to the Warwickshire County Council website and view the priority area maps, when doing so click on your home address to see what priority areas you are located in.
Up to 50 places will be awarded to applicants living within Priority Area 1.
Additional Eligibility
Applicants who achieve the Automatic Qualifying Score and are eligible for the following will be admitted:
- “Education, Health and Care Plan”
- “Looked After Children” who achieve 15 marks below the Automatic Qualifying Score or higher.
- “Pupil Premium” if they live within either priority area and achieved 15 marks below the Automatic Qualifying Score or higher. There are 20 places available for “Pupil Premium” students.
