Introduction
Newstead Wood School is a selective academy for girls in Orpington, Kent. The motto of Newstead Wood School is “Fortitudine Crescamus” which means “may we grow in strength”, symbolising the schools primary aim of the individual growth of each student. Newstead is a diverse and inclusive school thanks to its wide catchment area. Ofsted did an inspection in 2022 and reported that pupils were thriving, that they were happy, safe and nurtured. The pupils exhibited great behaviour and treated each other and the staff with the respect that is deserved.
