The 11 Plus entry exam for Tiffin Girls’ School is a two stage testing process. The Stage One test is a sifting test and will only determine who is invited to the Stage Two test.

Pass Mark
The number of applicants that will be allowed to progress to Stage Two will be decided by the school, applicants will progress to Stage Two based on rank order of marks achieved in Stage One. Applicants must take the Stage Two test in order to be considered for a place. Places will be offered based on marks achieved in the Stage Two test only. Places are awarded based on rank of marks achieved in the Stage Two test. 60 places are allocated to those that live within the Inner Area and score within the 350th highest mark in the Stage Two test.

Tiffin Girls’ School has two catchment areas, the first is called the Designated Area and is defined as: KT1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 17, 19, TW1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, SW13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, W3, 4, 5, 7, 13, SM4, CR4.
The second is called the Inner Area and is defined as the following electoral wards: Berrylands, Canbury Gardens, Coombe Hill, Coombe Vale, Green Lane & St James, Kingston Gate, Kingston Town, New Malden Village, Norbiton, St Mark’s & Seething Wells, Surbiton Hill, Tudor, “Ham, Petersham and Richmond Riverside”.
Applicants that do not reside within the catchment area are advised not to apply as it is exceptionally unlikely for them to receive a place, this does not apply to those eligible for “Looked After Children”.

- “Education, Health and Care Plan” – Applicants who are eligible and have demonstrated her academic ability will be accepted.
Children that are eligible for any of the following have a 10% leeway applied to their marks.
- “Looked After Children” – Applicants who are eligible and achieve within the top 350 marks in the Second Stage exam will be accepted.
- “Pupil Premium” – Applicants who are eligible, reside within the Designated Area, and achieve within the top 350 marks in the Second Stage exam will be accepted.
