The Chatham Grammar Entry Exam: Overview
The Medway Test is made up of three papers, one of each Extended Writing, Maths, and Verbal Reasoning. Marks awarded in the Extended Writing and Maths papers are worth double, making them have greater weighting than the marks achieved in the Verbal Reasoning paper. The Kent Test: Pass Criteria
The pass mark for the Kent Test is not a set mark but instead is changed to accommodate the top 25% of students in the country. Applicants must achieve the pass mark in either the Kent Test or the Medway Test in order to be able to be offered a place.
The Medway Test: Pass Criteria
The pass mark for the Medway Test changes from year to year to award the top 23% of applicants. For 2023 admissions the pass mark was 488. Applicants must achieve the pass mark in either the Kent Test or the Medway Test in order to be able to be offered a place.
