Introduction

Parmiter’s School is a partially selective mixed academy near Watford, Hertfordshire. Founded in 1681 Parmiter’s School has a long history of educating children. Parmiter’s School’s motto is “Nemo sibi nascitur” which means “no one is born unto themselves alone”, this is tied to their belief that a strong community ethos is required for a school to be great. The headteacher claims that the hallmark of Parmiter is the “high quality of relationships between adults and students across the school”. The goal of Parmiter’s School is to create a place where students can have a sense of belonging while they grow and learn. The hope is that students of Parmiter’s School will become the great leaders of tomorrow.

Parmiter's School Exam Format

Parmiter’s School uses the South West Herts School Consortium Test for its 11 Plus admissions test. This test is shared by all of the schools in the South West Herts School Consortium.

The Parmiter's School Entry Exam: Overview

Parmiter’s School’s 11 Plus entry exam consists of two GL Assessment tests. These tests are on Maths and Verbal Reasoning, both are multiple choice and standard papers.

Pass Mark

There are 52 places available for academic success, these will be awarded in order of merit achieved in the entrance exam.

Catchment Area

Up to 95% of places will be given to applicants living within the following postcodes: WD3 to WD25 inclusive, AL1, AL2, AL3, HP1, HP2, HP3 and HA6.

Applicants who qualify for any of the following will be admitted to the school and do not need to attend the entrance exam.
