Introduction
Boston Grammar School is a mixed, selective academy in Boston, Lincolnshire, and can trace its beginning back to 460 years ago. The key values of Boston Grammar are respect, care, achievement, and excellence. The majority of Boston Grammar School students end up attending university, which is aided by the school’s bursary fund, helping many students each year to attend university. There are also many other scholarships available such as the Medlock Trust, and Dora Stanley. The school has improved greatly in recent years, with Ofsted reporting “requires improvement” in 2018, to “Good” in 2021. The main areas that appear to have been addressed was the quality of teaching. Boston Grammar School received a “Good” in every key aspect of the school. Ofsted stated that the students attending Boston Grammar School were happy, calm, well behaved, and are appropriately challenged in their lessons. Ofsted also praised the quality of the teaching.

While some of these scores are above the national average, they are poor compared to most schools in the Lincolnshire Consortium of Grammar Schools.
